John Pitts
John Pitts is the Managing Director of eJet International Limited. With over 35 years of professional experience in the Aviation Fuel industry (engineering and project management, operation and commercial management of facilities at major international airports around the world), John’s deep capabilities enable him to bring both tried and tested best practice and innovative ideas to the table.
John has a wealth of technical knowledge about aviation fuel facilities, having led projects at major international airports including Singapore Changi, Hong Kong, Dubai, London Heathrow and Gatwick, Dublin, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Doha, Sydney, Brussels, Auckland, Delhi, Bangalore, Manila, Milan Malpensa, Keflavik, Lima and Medellin international airports.
Notably, John was CEO between 1996 and 1999 of the oil company/airline joint venture at the new Hong Kong International Airport, responsible for delivering the US$ 250 million new jet fuel infrastructure (construction management, project finance, business set-up and first year’s operation); and led in the design and implementation of Open Access fuel supply at the airport (the first example of true Open Access outside North America).
This was followed with the design and implementation of Open Access in India (Bangalore and Delhi) and Europe (Dublin and Luxembourg). Other commercial and business structure projects have included Oslo and Prague airports, and planning and audit work has been led in Mexico City and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. John has also carried out project work for ICAO, based in Montreal.
John is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
